Exceptional organic silk twill scarf
68 × 68 cm silk square, dyed and printed exclusively using natural pigments and plants, entirely made in France. Woven in Lyon by one of France's most prestigious silk manufacturers, Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, this twill fabric has a fluid drape and an infinitely delicate feel.
The edge is embellished with petal embroidery, crafted by a master embroiderer from Lyon who works for leading fashion houses, and signed with the Virginie Voncken logo.
The pattern is entirely handmade by Virginie Voncken in her Parisian workshop, using a natural dyeing process. The gold background colour comes from extracts of organic French chestnut pigments. The pattern is obtained from fresh bamboo leaves.
For this rare and dedicated craftsmanship, Virginie Voncken holds the title of Artisan d'Art, awarded by the French Chamber of Trades and Crafts.
In contrast to the polluting synthetic processes that dominate the textile industry today, this silk square embodies a natural, local and radically unique approach, requiring around ten hours of work per piece.
Part of the Cueillette line, the most committed and artistic of the house, this scarf is a unique textile work: no two centimetres are alike, each piece is impossible to reproduce identically.
More than a commitment, Pétale is a work of Conscious Luxury.
