The reading - The T-shirt
Between the lines, sweetness blooms like a flower,
Reading, gently caressing her heart's bower.
In the whisper of pages, a light is born,
An echo of the past, its fervor brightly worn.

The crafting of each product is entirely done in France, covering cutting, knitting for knitwear, assembly, finishing, and ironing.
No subcontracting is allowed by contract. I personally visit the workshops to supervise the process and get to know the people working on my products.
The denim is manufactured in Normandy.
The knitwear is crafted in Troyes.
The knitted fabric is entirely produced in Normandy.
The soft garments (blouses, dresses, and tops made of delicate woven fabrics) are crafted in Nantes.
The scarves are woven and embroidered in Lyon using French threads.
The jersey used for the "Tulipe" and "Deauville" lines is made in Troyes. It is undyed, combining durability, elegance, and comfort. It is made of 100% organic cotton, certified by GOTS. Its dense knit gives it a nice hold, weighing 360 g/m2. Tiny cotton husk residues punctuate it, giving it an authentic charm, a sign that it has undergone no bleaching or dyeing treatment. These residues will naturally disappear with each wash.
This cotton jersey has a lower impact than conventional jerseys due to its local production, absence of dyeing, and use of organic natural fibers. It is recyclable and biodegradable.
Not bleaching or dyeing the materials constitutes a radical approach to minimize water pollution impact, as these treatments are heavy and aggressive for the environment.

The labels of my brand, woven in Portugal, are made of Tencel. This artificial fiber is considered one of the most ecological. It is derived from wood or wood waste, sourced from sustainably managed forests, using non-polluting processes. Tencel has been chosen undyed. Avoiding bleaching and dyeing materials is a radical way to minimize water pollution impact, as these treatments are heavy and aggressive for the environment. To ensure their durability and legibility in the long term, there is no other option but to weave the labels on a recycled polyester base. However, I am looking to eliminate this last touch of polyester from my collections by following technological advancements. The size is included on each label to avoid having a brand tag and a size chip, thus reducing the resources and energy required for their production.

The composition labels are made of undyed Tencel ribbon, woven and printed in Portugal. Tencel is an artificial fiber produced without toxic chemicals in a closed-loop system. This quality is used on lightweight and delicate products. For thicker labels, a cotton quality is used. Tencel, an eco-friendly fiber, is made from eucalyptus pulp, requiring less water and energy than other fibers. Biodegradable and durable, it offers a softness and silky touch similar to silk, while being strong and easy to care for. In France, I could not find soft labels made of cotton or Tencel. For logistical reasons, I have combined both qualities from the same Portuguese manufacturer.

The sewing threads of Daniel CRU denim are made of polyester in France, ensuring optimal strength for maximum durability. Since jeans are pieces intended to be kept for a long time, the choice of thread plays an essential role in their longevity.
After the launch of the denim, I chose to continue building a sustainable wardrobe by revisiting an essential element: the iconic white t-shirt! Made in France, it is crafted with high-quality organic cotton jersey, free from bleaching or dyeing agents, giving it a natural ecru hue, much less polluting than optical white. Its contemporary style features a feminine scoop neckline, wide long sleeves offering two wearing options, and a meticulously crafted "Tulip" double pocket for perfect symmetry. The Tulip tee embodies values of sustainability and craftsmanship, becoming an emblem of the contemporary sustainable wardrobe.
